Our Story
The Phillip Team is what happens when a husband and wife build successful businesses in different worlds and decide to create something together.
For more than two decades, Vicario has guided his clients through New York City's real estate market. During that same time, Amy built an executive coaching practice, helping her clients position themselves for new leadership roles and prepare for their next opportunity.
Our paths were different, but the thinking behind our work was remarkably similar: recognize what creates value, understand what sets something apart and position it to its greatest advantage.
Now we get to bring our experience together, which has become one of the most rewarding chapters of our careers and we're grateful to every client who invites us to be part of theirs.
Meet Vicario
For more than 20 years, I’ve represented sellers, buyers, private landlords and developers across nearly every neighborhood in Brooklyn and Manhattan. My experience spans multifamily properties, single-family homes, condos, co-ops and mixed-use buildings, as well as new development projects.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong command of pricing and deal strategy, learning how to navigate complex transactions. Real estate sales and purchases are rarely straightforward. Experience has taught me which issues to anticipate, when to adjust strategy, how to protect my clients’ position, and what it takes to keep a transaction moving in the right direction.
One of the most rewarding parts of my career is getting to know people from every walk of life and the relationships that have grown from those experiences. Understanding what matters most to my clients allows me to advocate for their interests, offer practical guidance and help them make informed decisions.
Born in Curaçao, I’ve called New York City home since I was four and Bay Ridge home for 20 years. I enjoy helping clients in the neighborhoods I know firsthand while bringing a citywide market perspective to my work.
In my free time, you’ll find me staying active, following football and Formula One or exploring New York City. I never get tired of discovering something new or returning to our favorite spots. I also love traveling the world with Amy—especially when she's done the research.
Meet Amy
For more than 25 years, my work has centered on helping people navigate important decisions. I began my career in corporate human resources and later built my own executive coaching practice. In both roles, I advised senior leaders on business, leadership and career matters.
Much of my recent work centered on helping clients identify their edge, refine their positioning and develop a clear, compelling narrative that communicated their unique value in competitive markets. The work was thoughtful, analytical and creative, drawing on a deep understanding of people and business.
Real estate became a natural extension of that work. Although what I do has changed, the heart of it hasn't.
I help my clients recognize what makes their homes distinctive and develop a marketing strategy that connects those strengths with what buyers are most likely to value. I've learned that how something is presented shapes perception, and perception influences value. That principle now informs how I market every home.
What I’ve always loved most about my work is getting to know so many different people. I enjoy hearing their stories, learning what matters most to them and helping them achieve their goals. Those conversations shape my recommendations and allow me to provide guidance that's as personal as the decisions themselves.
As a fourth-generation Brooklynite and Bay Ridge native—minus three years in California—I feel especially connected to the neighborhoods that have shaped so much of my life. I bring strong local perspective and market insight to every client relationship.
When I'm not working, I'm usually researching something—our next travel adventure, a new restaurant to try, home design and culinary inspiration, the latest beauty products or emerging technologies. I rarely meet a rabbit hole I won't go down. I also have a thing for hotels and great rooftops, even in the city I call home. And, of course, I love spending time with family and friends.
